Signature Cards are a relatively new addition to Hearthstone. They offer a rare opportunity for some of the more impactful or favorite cards to be reimagined with an all new "full frame" illustration, giving the collectible a "premier" feel to it to reward the player for their relative difficulty in obtaining.

In this case I was offered the opportunity to illustrate "Endbringer Umbra", an important character to the storyline of the "Lost City of Ungoro" expansion. After a few false starts, the piece really found its stride once I pictured the character as a cross between a turtle and a Skeksi from the Dark Crystal. From there it was smooth sailing and a ton of fun throughout!
