This was a private commission by a friend of the family, who is also a renowned guitar maker. The dragon here is seen to be protectively clutching a guitar of great value, while his roaring cry warns of violent action should he be challenged. This piece is one of the bigger oil paintings I have done at 40"x30", but the chance to break out the oils again after too long a break was wonderful.
